The following neon string lighting kit was supplied by pclincs.co.uk - THANKS !
Neon string is great, you can mod virtually anything with it. Be it lighting up the case within so you can see through your window, or modding a keyboard. The choice is yours ! First off I'll review the neon string itself, then mod something with it!

The neon string in its green glory
There you go, there is the neon string. This certain neon string is 4 feet 11 inches, thats the actual neon light (the bit that glows). - Thats plenty if you need to do a fill a whole keyboard, or go around the trim of the window.
You may also notice that this neon string comes with an invertor. If you were to buy the neon string without an invertor, you would have to pay something not far off £15 just for the invertor. So the best way to go is to buy the kit, and save yourself a few quid and get a full neon string kit, such as the one at pclincs.co.uk and in this review :D

The "power-house" of the neon string, the invertor
As you can see you power the neon string using the invertor, and the invertor gets powered by your computer's PSU, via a 4 pin molex connector. You can also see a head phone style plug. This is used to connect the neon string (the glowing part) to the invertor.

The headphone style plug
The final design factor of the neon string, is the colour. You can obviously see its green, and it glows a cool bright green :) - But the disadvantage of the neon string is the really annoying high pitch whining sound it makes when plugged in. Even when the head phone jack has been unplugged, the invertor still makes an annoying high pitch whining sound. There is no way around this, unless you have a loud case, in which case you wont be able to hear it !
Well, thats the neon string in a nut shell. May as well mod something with it !
