Title : Make a blowhole

For the following chimney blowhole, you will need:

1x 80mm fan (Any you want! I used a sunon fan, which had a nice 37cfm! But also 35dbs!!) 1x Chrome 80mm fan grill 1x 76mm Tank cutter 1x Drill arbour All these items were provided by coolcasemods.com - Thank you coolcasemods.com!

Right - the other tools for the job not included are : pencil, ruler and somewhere to work !

Take the top of your case off any way you want, or any way you can ! Mine was relatively easy, I had to take off the front and then the top screwed off.

Now, lets get modding!!

The first you need to do, is figure out where you want the hole to go. Usually this is in the middle for a chimney mod, but you can have it anywhere you want, so long as there is clearing for the fan in the case and on top for the grill, its up to you.

I found it best to off centre the hole slightly. Then, get your fan grill, ruler and pencil, place the grill in the desired rough position of the top of your case, try and centre the grill as best as you can. Now, with your ruler and pencil, draw a line against the grill from end to end of the top of your case. View the image here:

Next thing to do, now that you have the width of the blowhole, is to mark holes for the grill and fan onto the case. The easiest way to do this, is to hold down the grill in between the two lines you just made (make sure the grill is as central as possible between the two lines for neatness, maybe even use a strip of masking tape) and then get a pencil and mark out the circle of the grill and the drill holes. Then put a X through the circles marking the screw holes, and join them diagonally, so you have a big X through the middle of where the fan will go. This is for the drill arbor.

Next: TIME TO CUT THE CASE!
